.....So much to enjoy right on your doorstep

The waterfront town of Amble is located on the shoreline of the Coquet estuary.  This picturesque area forms the southern gateway to Northumberlands' stunning coastline, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Living up to its reputation as the nations 'friendliest port', Amble boasts a variety of excellent local attractions.  These include a modern, award winning marina; a town square which is home to the largest sundial in Europe; a Puffin Festival, inspired by the 36,000-strong colony which resides on Coquet Island a mile off the coast; and an array of local shops, including Suprelli, a boutique ice cream maker and winner of the Golden Fork for speciality food.

And further afield -

Amble allows easy access to all that Northumberland has to offer.

The 64-mile long North Sea Coastline with its golden sands, clear waters, and picturesque bays, it's a haven for dog walkers, surfers, horse riders, nature lovers, walkers and families alike.

To the west and forming part of the Northumberland National Park lie the impressive Cheviot Hills and Keilder Forest.  As the largest man-made lake and forest in Europe, Keilder provides the opportunity to explore the great outdoors on a grand scale.  It is also a designated 'dark skies area', making it perfect for star gazing.

Northumberland is also home to a wealth of thriving market towns and villages, including Alnwick, Morpeth and Rothbury.  These offer a wealth of local shops, eateries, nightlife and amenities, as well as colourful architecture and an ever-changing calendar of local attractions.

And all just 40 minutes from Newcastle City Centre
